ASUS has three RTX 5070 cards for today’s launch
We have to give ASUS credit for at least communicating prices before launch, as barely any board partner is this open. This doesn’t mean we won’t criticize it, though.
We pay a lot of attention to ASUS, which tries to manipulate its launch pricing to the point where a week later everything looks entirely different. While we do not know what will happen with the RTX 5070 launch, we do know that for the RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 Ti launches, ASUS has not respected its MSRP launch price for more than a week.
Could today’s RTX 5070 launch be any different? Well, there’s one thing that may prevent ASUS from going crazy with pricing, and that’s the Radeon RX 9070 series launching tomorrow. ASUS will, of course, also launch its Radeon GPUs, so any pricing strategy change would also affect other GPU sales. We will see how this works out later.

Today, ASUS has confirmed three cards for the RTX 5070 launch. The list is very short, which is basically confirmation of limited launch stock. Only the Prime, Prime OC, and TUF OC models are launching today in the US.
ASUS RTX 5070 Pricing:
- TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 OC Edition: $739.99 (USD)
- ASUS Prime RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 Graphics Card: $699.99 (USD)
- ASUS Prime GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7: $549.99 (USD)
One thing I wanted to point out is that NVIDIA/AIBs often ship OC models to reviewers and tell them it’s the MSRP model. This couldn’t be further from the truth, OC models are never sold at MSRP. So, any review you saw yesterday that carried “OC” on the box, just be aware that the card you are buying at MSRP is definitely not the same card.
ASUS is yet to confirm pricing for Radeon RX 9070 launch.
